Mjölk & Honey is a fair trade company, which means we source our products ethically.
That's where Mjölk & Honey comes in. Fair trade shouldn't be a luxury. It has been at the heart of our mission from the beginning to provide fair trade products for women and children at prices the average mother can afford. In the same way that fair trade producers rely on ethical wage, fair trade consumers should rely on ethical pricing.
"Fair trade shouldn't be a luxury."
In other words, we're not going to take advantage of the women making our products, and we're not going to take advantage of the women who buy them.
We will always price fairly. We have marked our prices up just enough for us to run a successful business, which means we are making anywhere from 40-100% more than what we paid wholesale.
We will always be held accountable. If a price tag seems high to you, take a look at our competition. And rest assured that we are always looking for ways to keep making fair trade essentials available at prices that aren't considered luxury.
We will tithe our proceeds. At least 10% of our profits will go directly back to the groups we source from. These groups range from Fair Trade Certified manufacturers to international domestic organizations that support, employ, and empower women and children rescued from abusive and compromising situations.
On our blog, you'll get to meet these domestic organizations and manufacturers. It is not only our mission to produce fairly––it is also our mission to educate.
We want to equip you to make choices that positively impact your world far beyond your interactions with Mjölk & Honey.
We're so glad you're here. Thank you for caring and for joining the Mjölk & Honey hive.
In the wise words of The Lorax, "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."
